Where money moves in such volume, questions are legitimate. But the timing of these questions tells you everything about the questioners.

What This Means for India

The opposition understands one thing crystal clear: whoever controls the story of Ayodhya's transformation controls the story of modern India. If Ayodhya is presented as a corruption scandal, then Hindu resurgence becomes dirty money. If Ayodhya is presented as civilizational reclamation, then Hindu resurgence becomes inevitable.

The opposition has no counter-narrative. They cannot say "We would have built the temple better." They cannot say "We would have developed Ayodhya faster." They cannot compete on the actual delivery. So they attack the fund management. They raise ghosts of impropriety. They hope that in the confusion between investigation and accusation, the real story gets buried: that a government did what seven decades of secularism could not do. It restored a city. It honored a memory. It returned dignity to a civilization.

This is the pattern playing out across India right now. Every Hindu cultural achievement is met with the same response: audit it, question it, investigate it. Not because the opposition genuinely cares about fiscal discipline—their own governments are barely literate on money management—but because they understand that if Hindus are allowed to narrate their own story without constant character assassination, the game is over.

The Deeper Story Nobody is Telling

The real scandal is not the Ram Mandir funds. The real scandal is that Ayodhya was deliberately abandoned for seventy years. Post-1947, independent India's first order of business was not to develop Ayodhya. It was to forget it. To erase it. To make sure that no Hindu cultural site became the center of national pride. The resources that should have built schools, hospitals, roads in Ayodhya were diverted elsewhere. The historical narrative was rewritten to make Rama a "regional deity" rather than the civilizational memory of Bharat.

This was not accidental. This was engineered. Secular India chose to keep the holiest Hindu site in deliberate poverty as a statement: that religion has no place in the national project. When Yogi took charge, he simply reversed this logic. He said: What if we actually invested in Ayodhya? What if we actually honored our civilization? What if Hindus were allowed to be proud of their own heritage?

The result speaks. Ayodhya today is what a Hindu-confident India looks like. And that is precisely what the opposition cannot accept.
